Where is the event and how do I get there?
The event is taking place at the Wavertree Athletics Track, Wellington Rd, Liverpool L15 4LE. This can be found easily on most mapping apps and may also be listed as the Liverpool Harriers and Athletic Club. The venue is a part of the Wavertree Sports Park.
Is there parking?
There are a limited number of parking spots available on the day and parking passes can be purchased as an add-on to your ticket. If you can’t purchase parking or would rather not bring your car, we suggest using local public transport.
What time does the event open and close?
Gates open at 3pm, the athletics will start a 4:55pm and finish at 8:20pm. There will then be live music on stage until the gates close at 10pm.
Can I bring alcohol and food?
For health and safety reasons you cannot bring alcohol or food on site. There will be numerous vendors at the event that will allow you to buy food and drink as required.
Can I bring a tent, gazebo, or some chairs?
We don’t have space for everyone to bring their own tents and chairs, so we are asking you to leave these at home. General admission tickets will have access to the viewing hill, and we’d suggest that you bring your own picnic blanket if you want a place to sit.
Can I bring my pet?
As much as we love them, we ask that you leave your pets at home, they will not be allowed to enter the venue.
Will I get to meet the athletes?
We are all about creating a fun environment at Festathlon and the athletes are a part of that! At times throughout the day athletes will come and interact with fans and spend time in the brand activation zones. Keep your eyes and ears open on the day to find out more!
Will there be toilets and baby changing facilities?
There will be portable toilets on site and baby changing facilities for those new parents looking to enjoy the day. If you have any special requests, please let us now and we will do our best to accommodate them.
Can I reserve a seat?
There is no reserved seating on site. For those that have purchased main stand tickets you will have access to seating on a first come first served basis. General admission tickets will not provide access to seating.
Can I bring my camera or recording equipment?
We want you to enjoy the day and share your experiences, but we ask that you do that via a smart phone. Professional photography and videography equipment will not be allowed in without permission granted in advance.
When is last entry and what time can I stay until?
Last entry will be at 6:30pm, the event will end at 10pm.
Where can I watch from with my General Admission ticket?
There are natural hills around both sides of the track at Wavertree Athletics Track which make for the perfect natural viewing areas. Attendees can stand or sit on these banks or make their way down to track side and watch the action from closer.
Is the venue accessible for people with a disability?
Yes, the venue is accessible for those with disabilities. If you need special access or support, or if you are coming in a wheelchair, please let us know and we will make sure that we find you a great spot to watch the athletics from.
What happens if it rains?
We can’t control the weather but plan to put on a great event regardless. The J.C Rice stand is partly sheltered for those with main stand tickets, but we can’t promise that it will be dry. If it does rain, we encourage you to bring your waterproofs and umbrellas and to enjoy the day regardless of the weather!
Will the event be impacted by COVID-19?
With lockdown ending in July, we are planning a normal event in line with the changing government restrictions. If the festival is cancelled due to COVID-19 there will be a refund period which will be advertised widely, during this period full refunds can be applied for.
If I can’t come, can I get a refund?
No, unfortunately the festival operates a ‘No Refund‘ policy across all tickets. Please view our terms and conditions (below) for more information.
When will I receive my ticket?
Tickets are emailed the same day when purchased via our ticketing partner. Bring this email with you, either on your phone or a printed copy upon arrival. The easiest way to access your ticket is to register with our ticket partner and download their app.
It is a female festival, what does that mean? Can I come if I am a male?
Festathlon is a celebration of great female talent but that does not mean that men can’t enjoy the day! The athletes competing will be female and the musicians and presenters will be female focused. All men and boys are welcome to join as spectators on the day!
What is the policy if I am under 18 and want to attend with my friends?
All under 18s should have their own ticket and be accompanied by a ticket holder adult aged over 21 years old.
